Kids’ toys can occupy children’s attention for a certain number of hours, but no volume of kids’ toys in the world can prevent them from having fun in a playground. Children should be given time to play outdoors if only to give them fresh air and exercise. Going to playgrounds also give them a chance to develop social skills.
Keep motivating them. Chances are there’ll be days they don’t want to go to school (just like we have days we don’t want to go to work or study ourselves). It can be tough sometimes, but encourage them to focus on the good things.
C. Some people turn old tires into planters. Just fill the inside of the tire with dirt and put a plant in the center. The black rubber helps keep the plant warm; people in hot climates may want to paint them a lighter color. More elaborate planters can be created as well.
Climbing equipment such as forts, tree houses, and obstacle courses must have handrails and side railings to help prevent falling off the platforms. The openings should be large enough to prevent trapping feet and hands. Other openings should be large enough to keep from trapping a child’s head.
Prevent Playground Injuries – Playgrounds and young children are synonymous with summer fun. Staying safe should be your No. 1 priority. The National Program for 안전놀이터 offers this safety checklist for parents. Visit them online or call (800)-554-PLAY.
Children should be taught the dangers of using wet playground equipment. Parents must point out that moisture causes the surfaces to be slippery and could lead to accidents.
Some children develop heat rash from excess sweating. Jump into a cool bath; wear lightweight loose-fitting clothing made of comfortable cotton fabric. Apply Calamine lotion to an uncomfortable itch and some people use cornstarch to absorb the excess moisture during this very humid season.
Don’t let warm weather distract you from doing your part to keep kids safe. April doesn’t have to be the only month to practice playground safety, but it’s a really good place to start. Happy playing!
